US President Donald Trump said the United States Central Command carried out a powerful strike on military facilities located on Kharg Island on his orders.

Axar.az reports that in a post on Truth Social, Trump said: “Moments ago, at my direction, the United States Central Command executed one of the most powerful bombing raids in the history of the Middle East and completely obliterated every military target on Iran’s crown jewel, Kharg Island.”

He said he had deliberately decided not to destroy the island’s oil infrastructure.

However, he warned that if Iran — or any other party — attempts to disrupt the free and safe passage of ships through the Strait of Hormuz, he would immediately reconsider that decision.
