Ukraine faces two-month Donbas pullout demand

Russia has set a two-month deadline for the withdrawal of Ukrainian Armed Forces from Donbas, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said.

Axar.az reports, citing Ukrainian media, Moscow has indicated that if Ukraine does not comply, it may take control of Donbas and impose different conditions, according to Zelensky.

He added that Russia views the end or the critical phase of the conflict as contingent on the withdrawal of Ukrainian troops from the region.

Zelensky also noted that this development could have implications for regional security, while U.S. officials have clarified that American assistance to Ukraine is not contingent on the withdrawal of Ukrainian forces from Donbas.
