Pashinyan says Armenia’s return to CSTO unrealistic

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan considers expectations for Armenia’s return to the CSTO (Collective Security Treaty Organization) unrealistic.

Axar.az informs that “I have said that expecting positive changes, meaning a return [to the CSTO], is unrealistic,” he stated during a government briefing.

In December 2025, the Armenian prime minister announced that Armenia’s relations with the CSTO had passed the point of no return.

Armenia’s Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan, speaking at an international security forum in Warsaw, noted that Yerevan is carefully assessing all risks regarding its decision to withdraw from the CSTO.
