Mark Rutte heads to Washington for talks with Donald Trump

NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte will meet with U.S. President Donald Trump in Washington next week.

Axar.az informs, citing Reuters, that a NATO spokesperson confirmed Rutte’s visit, noting that the trip had been planned for a long time.

The visit draws attention amid reports that Trump seriously considered withdrawing from the alliance after NATO countries rejected his request for assistance in opening the Strait of Hormuz.
