Investigation launched after gunfire near Israeli consulate

An investigation has been launched into the armed incident in front of Israel’s Consulate in Istanbul.

Axar.az reports that Turkiye’s Minister of Justice, Akin Gurlek, announced this on his social media account.

"A deputy chief prosecutor and two public prosecutors have been assigned to the case.

To clarify all aspects of the incident, the investigation is continuing under the coordination of the Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office, together with the relevant law enforcement agencies. The inquiry is being conducted carefully and thoroughly," he said.
