Ukraine strikes oil facilities in Perm and Orsk - Video

Oil facilities in Russian cities of Perm and Orsk were struck by Ukrainian drones overnight.

Axar.az reports, citing Kyiv Independent, the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) confirmed responsibility for an attack on an oil pumping station near Perm, saying its Alpha special forces unit carried out a long-range drone strike on the Transneft-operated facility.

“In an operation led by the SBU’s Alpha special forces unit, long-range drones struck the Perm linear production and dispatch station,” the agency said, adding that a large fire broke out and “nearly all of the oil storage tanks were on fire” according to preliminary reports.

Perm Krai Governor Dmitry Makhonin confirmed the strike on an industrial site, saying workers were evacuated and no casualties were reported.

Emergency services were deployed after a fire erupted at the facility.

It is noted that earlier, oil depots in Tuapse and Simferopol were also targeted in Ukrainian drone attacks.
