Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has thanked Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Asim Munir for their efforts to help end the war in the region on behalf of the Islamic Republic.
Axar.az informs that Araghchi shared the message on his X account.
"On behalf of the Islamic Republic of Iran, I express gratitude and appreciation for my dear brothers HE Prime Minister of Pakistan Sharif and HE Field Marshal Munir for their tireless efforts to end the war in the region.
If attacks against Iran are halted, our Powerful Armed Forces will cease their defensive operations.
For a period of two weeks, safe passage through the Strait of Hormuz will be possible via coordination with Iran's Armed Forces and with due consideration of technical limitations," he said.
It should be noted that earlier, U.S. President Donald Trump stated that he is ready to suspend bombing and attacks on Iran for two weeks, provided that Tehran ensures the complete, immediate, and safe reopening of the Strait of Hormuz.
Recall that the United States and Israel launched military operations against Iran on February 28, carrying out airstrikes on several cities. In response, Iran fired missiles at Israeli territory and targeted U.S. military bases in Gulf countries.
