US C-17A aircraft issues distress signal over Europe

A US Boeing C-17A Globemaster III transport aircraft that departed from Romania has issued a distress signal over European airspace.

Axar.az reports that the aircraft sent the distress signal while flying over Czech airspace.

The source did not specify the reason for the alert. The aircraft, which has been in service for around 20 years, is currently continuing toward Germany while maintaining a stable cruising altitude of approximately 10.3 km.

It is expected that the plane will land at Ramstein Air Base.
