Iran condemns U.S. strike as violation of sovereignty

Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has strongly condemned the United States’ military strike on radar and coastal surveillance facilities in the Sirik region and Qeshm Island, calling it a clear violation of the ceasefire and Iranian sovereignty.

Axar.az reports, citing the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran, that the ministry stated the repeated violations of the ceasefire by the United States demonstrate that Washington has no intention of reducing tensions or returning to stability.

It was emphasized that such actions constitute a serious threat to regional security and that the United States bears responsibility for all consequences and any further escalation.

The statement also stressed Iran’s right to self-defense under Article 51 of the UN Charter and called on regional countries to prevent their territories from being used for hostile actions.
