Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has congratulated Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on the victory of his Civil Contract Party in Armenia’s parliamentary elections.

Axar.az reports, citing Kazakh media, that Tokayev extended his congratulations following the party’s election success.

“The head of state congratulated Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on the victory of the Civil Contract Party he represents in the parliamentary elections,” the report said.

Tokayev also wished Pashinyan success in his work for the long-term national interests of Armenia.

It should be noted that parliamentary elections were held in Armenia yesterday, with preliminary results showing the Civil Contract Party in the lead.
