Turkiye advances Ay Yildiz defense complex

Construction of the Turkish Armed Forces' Joint Command "Ay Yildiz" complex is continuing in Ankara.

Axar.az reports that the unified headquarters will bring together the Ministry of National Defense, the General Staff, and the service commands under one roof.

The Ay Yildiz complex will cover an area of 12 million square meters, equivalent to approximately 1,680 football fields.

The complex is scheduled to become fully operational in 2028. More than half of the construction work has already been completed.

The facility will also include five conference halls with a combined capacity of 3,200 people. Its green space will cover 2 million square meters, making it about 1.5 times larger than London's Hyde Park.
