Zelensky, Trump agree to continue talks at G7

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said he held a “detailed” conversation with US President Donald Trump, focusing on efforts to end Russia’s war against Ukraine.

Axar.az reports that in a post on X, Zelensky said he congratulated Trump on his birthday and thanked him for US support, highlighting military aid ranging from Javelin systems to Patriot air defense missiles.

He said the two leaders discussed possible steps toward peace and reviewed developments on the battlefield, adding that Ukraine’s position has recently strengthened.

Zelensky noted that both sides agreed to continue discussions at the upcoming G7 Summit, where further talks on peace initiatives are expected.

It should be noted that the two leaders held a phone conversation yesterday.
