Putin says fuel market challenges are temporary

Russian President Vladimir Putin said key sectors of the country's economy remain stable.

Axar.az reports that Putin said Russia's GDP grew by 0.3% in May and by 0.2% during the first five months of 2026.

He also stressed that the difficulties Russia is facing in the fuel market are temporary and will not affect the country's overall economic growth.

It should be noted that Russia is facing a severe fuel shortage following a series of Ukrainian strikes on Russian oil refineries.
