Bosnia and Herzegovina buys 10 Kangal anti-drone systems

Bosnia and Herzegovina has signed a contract with Turkish defense company ASELSAN to acquire 10 Kangal rifle-type anti-drone defense systems for its armed forces.

Axar.az reports, citing Bosnian media, that the agreement was signed in Sarajevo by Bosnia and Herzegovina's Deputy Chair of the Council of Ministers and Defense Minister Zukan Helez and ASELSAN CEO Ahmet Akyol.

The deal marks another step in the defense cooperation between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Turkiye. According to officials, the new systems will strengthen the country's military capabilities in electronic warfare and improve protection against the growing threat posed by unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).

The Kangal systems are designed to counter hostile drones and enhance the security of military installations and other strategic facilities.

It should be noted that the systems purchased from Turkiye are expected to play a key role in protecting military facilities, the country's defense industry infrastructure, and other strategically important sites from modern aerial threats.
