The Ukrainian Armed Forces' attack on a vessel in the Caspian Sea is extremely dangerous.

Axar.az reports, citing Russian media, that Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov made the remarks while commenting on the recent Ukrainian strike on an Iranian commercial ship.

He described the incident as another escalation of the conflict.

"This is extremely dangerous. It is another stage of escalation. The Kyiv regime must be confronted," Peskov told reporters.

The comments came after Iran accused Ukraine of attacking one of its commercial vessels in the Caspian Sea on July 25. Iran's Foreign Ministry said the strike killed one crew member and injured another, prompting Tehran to summon Ukraine's chargé d'affaires and lodge a formal diplomatic protest.
