Trump leaves door open to F-35 sale to Turkiye

U.S. President Donald Trump said no one dictates what military equipment the United States should sell, signaling he has not ruled out the potential sale of F-35 fighter jets to Turkiye despite Israeli objections.

Axar.az reports, citing AP, that speaking to reporters, Trump was asked about the possibility of selling the advanced fighter aircraft to Turkiye after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu expressed opposition to such a deal.

"Nobody tells me what we should be selling," Trump said.

Trump also praised Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, saying, "Turkiye's been a great ally for me. I think he's done a very good job, did a good job with Syria. He's a friend of mine."
