Georgia's culture minister resigns over health

Georgia's Culture Minister Tinatin Rukhadze has resigned, citing health reasons.

Axar.az reports, citing Georgian media, that Rukhadze announced her decision in a resignation letter published by the Ministry of Culture.

She said she would need to undergo urgent medical treatment, which would prevent her from properly carrying out her duties as minister.

Rukhadze, who had served as culture minister since October 2024, said she made the decision after consultations with Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze.
