Cargo ship carrying 12 Azerbaijanis attacked near Odesa

A dry cargo ship carrying Azerbaijani seafarers came under attack by unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) near the Port of Odesa.

Axar.az reports, citing APА, that the chairman of the Azerbaijan Seafarers Support Public Union, Ilham Nasirov, said in a statement on Facebook.

According to the statement, three UAVs attacked the ATA-2 dry cargo vessel, owned by Albatros Corporation, near the Port of Odesa this morning.

The vessel sustained serious damage and is currently heading toward the Romanian coast.

The crew consists of 13 members, including 12 Azerbaijani citizens and one Turkish citizen.

According to preliminary information, no one was killed or injured in the incident.
