Putin warns of new weapons in Asia-Pacific region

The North Atlantic Alliance is infiltrating the Asia-Pacific region.

Axar.az reports, citing local media, that Russian President Vladimir Putin made the remarks during the final stage of a Pacific Fleet exercise.

“We see that, unfortunately, the potential for conflict is growing here (in the Asia-Pacific region). NATO is infiltrating the region. New military-political blocs are being created. New weapons systems that pose threats to our country are being deployed or are planned to be deployed here,” he said.

“Incidentally, tensions are also being fueled in the neighboring Arctic region, which has already been mentioned here, around the use of the Northern Sea Route. Although Russia has always — and I mean always — advocated cooperation in the Arctic and the use of the advantages of the Northern Sea Route, and continues to confirm its readiness to cooperate. Of course, within the framework of applicable international maritime law,” the Russian president stressed.
