Three people have been killed in an armed clash over a financial dispute in Diyarbakir, southeastern Turkiye.

Axar.az reports, citing Turkish media, that the incident occurred on Silvan Boulevard in the Cumhuriyet neighborhood of the Yenisehir district.

An argument between people involved in a debt dispute escalated into an armed clash, leaving three people injured.

Police and medical teams were dispatched to the scene. Two people were pronounced dead at the scene, while a third died in hospital despite medical treatment.

Police have launched an investigation and are searching for those involved in the incident.
