Turkiye's football referee chief faces judge in graft probe

An arrest warrant has been issued for Ferhat Gundogdu, chairman of the Central Referee Board of the Turkish Football Federation (TFF), who was detained some time ago.

Axar.az reports, citing Turkish media, that in addition, detention measures have been imposed on Ferdi Karadoruk, the incumbent president of the TFF Referees Association; Yunus Yildirim, a former member of the Central Referee Board; Alican Saglar, organizational coordinator of the Istanbul branch of the TFF Referees and Observers Association; and Emre Kosif, chairman of the Istanbul Provincial Refereeing Committee of the TFF Referees and Observers Association.

Ahmet Sahin, former deputy chairman of the TFF Central Referee Board, and Sabahattin Sahin, the TFF’s training and 4th Region coordinator, were released with travel bans.
