Peskov: Zelensky is not seeking a peaceful settlement

Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov said that the Kremlin shares US President Donald Trump’s view that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is not seeking a peaceful settlement.

Axar.az reports, citing Russian media, that Peskov made the remarks to journalists.

“It is clear that Zelensky does not want to take responsibility and move towards a peaceful settlement. On this point, we fully agree with President Trump,” he said.

Asked whether Russia was ready to discuss a peace agreement without the participation of Ukraine’s current leadership, the Kremlin spokesperson noted that “it is impossible to discuss anything without the current Ukrainian leadership, however much one might want to.”
