A Turkish court has ruled in a defamation case involving Justice Minister Akin Gurlek and New Party leader Ozgur Ozel, who filed lawsuits against each other over allegations that Gurlek owns 16 properties.
Axar.az reports, citing Turkish media, that the Istanbul 3rd Civil Court of First Instance partially upheld the lawsuit filed by Gurlek at the second hearing.
The court ordered Ozel to pay 750,000 Turkish lira in non-pecuniary damages. Ozel’s countersuit was dismissed.
