The joint defense agreement signed by Turkiye, Saudi Arabia and Pakistan in Mecca on August 7 has been submitted to the Turkish Grand National Assembly.
Axar.az reports, citing Turkish media, that the agreement stipulates that an armed attack on any one of the three countries would be considered an attack on all three.
The agreement can enter into force after being ratified by parliament.
Turkiye’s Ministry of National Defense previously stated that any potential military contribution to Saudi Arabia would require parliamentary approval and authorization for the deployment of Turkish Armed Forces abroad.
