Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak said Russia is ready to resume gas supplies to Europe if European countries are willing to buy Russian gas.
Axar.az reports, citing local media, that Novak made the remarks on the sidelines of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF) summit.
“On our side, we are ready. We have always been reliable suppliers. If Europe does not buy our gas, we have other markets to sell it to,” Novak said.
He added that Russia had developed infrastructure in recent years to supply countries with rising energy demand and growing economies, arguing that Russia had no problems selling its gas and that the issue lay with Europe.
