Kazakhstan set to become ANKA drone production hub

Kazakhstan is preparing to become a foreign production hub for Turkiye’s ANKA unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), having already equipped its Air Force with the Turkish-made drones.

Axar.az reports, citing Turkish media, that a memorandum on the production, maintenance and repair of ANKA UAVs in Kazakhstan has been signed between Turkish Aerospace Industries (TUSAS) and Kazakhstan Engineering.

To support local manufacturing, Aircraft Repair Plant No. 406 and TUSAS have established a joint venture called TA-406.

The parties are continuing their efforts to launch joint production. Mutual visits have taken place, and discussions on the project’s implementation are ongoing.

Once the process is completed, Kazakhstan will become the first country outside Turkiye to manufacture ANKA UAVs.
