Sikorski defends events at Poland’s Constitutional Tribunal

Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski has described the events surrounding the Constitutional Tribunal on the night of October 30–31 as inelegant but necessary to prevent the country’s transformation from a parliamentary republic into a presidential one.

Axar.az reports that Sikorski made the remarks on X.

"The events at the Constitutional Tribunal in Warsaw last night were not elegant but the alternative was to concede an unconstitutional transformation of Poland into a presidential republic.

Poland continues to be ruled by a coalition government elected by parliament," he said.
