Erdogan: Turkish ventilators are exported to 45 countries

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has said that ventilators manufactured domestically in Batman are being used in Turkiye’s hospitals and exported to 45 countries.

Axar.az reports, citing Turkish media, that Erdogan made the remarks during his speech at the 12th Turkish Medical World Congress.

He noted that a heart-lung machine, produced by only a limited number of manufacturers worldwide, had been developed and put into service entirely using domestic resources.

“Our current goal is to manufacture a domestic ultrasound device, with plans to produce 700 units annually. We see these achievements only as a new beginning. Our aim is to achieve even greater success. Just as we have written a success story in the defence industry, we will achieve the same in the healthcare sector,” Erdogan said.
