Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi had a telephone conversation with EU Commissioner for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell.

Axar.az reports that the statement came from the Chinese Foreign Ministry. During the telephone conversation, the Chinese diplomat offered the EU to join efforts to combat the coronavirus in African countries:

"We are ready to partner with Europe to jointly support the fight against coronavirus in developing countries. This primarily applies to African countries."
