The European Union (EU) can play an important role in transforming the Zangezur corridor into a common asset by supporting investment, providing technical assistance, and promoting multilateral dialogues involving Armenia.
Axar.az reports that Italian political scientist Salvator Santagelo said this in an interview.
According to him, by promoting inclusive projects, the EU can help transform the corridor into a regional development and cooperation platform:
“The successful launch of the Zangezur corridor and the implementation of broader peace initiatives could increase the interest of other international players in the South Caucasus. As the region stabilizes and economic opportunities expand, the United States, EU member states, and even Asian countries may be interested in investment and cooperation. This will strengthen the importance of the region in global politics and economics.”
