The political turmoil in Georgia threatens the economic stability of the South Caucasus and Azerbaijan directly.

Axar.az reports that Georgian political scientist Gela Vasadze stated this.

"Today's events in Georgia may further strengthen Russia's influence in the region. This means that the current situation may affect joint projects of Georgia, Azerbaijan and Turkey (Southern Gas Corridor, BTC, BTK). That is why the situation is extremely dangerous," he said.

Referring to the statement of the newly elected Prime Minister on the visit to Baku, the expert said that Georgian officials are visiting Baku first, and Garibashvili is no exception.
