Washington's statement that it will not overthrow the regimes or promote democracy by force is the right decision.

Axar.az reports that the statement came from Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova, commenting on US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken's statement on democracy.

"This is a wonderful thesis. Finally, the United States made the right decision. But I would like to note that you can not promote anything by force, not democracy, you can not use different methods without respecting the sovereignty, territorial integrity and independence of countries," Zakharova said.

Zakharova advised US officials to re-read the UN charter.

Note that, earlier, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken had said that Washington will no longer overthrow regimes and promote democracy by force.
