Iran rejects EU claims of interference in Yemen conflict

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei has rejected allegations by EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas that Tehran is involved in the conflict between Saudi Arabia and Yemen.

Axar.az reports, citing ISNA, that Baghaei denied the presence of Iranian military experts in Yemen and accused the European Union of bearing responsibility for human rights violations in Yemen through its participation in sanctions and the economic blockade imposed on the country.

He added that the Yemeni people had the necessary capabilities, experience, courage, and determination to defend their sovereignty and human dignity and did not need anyone’s intervention.
