Russia advises citizens against travelling to Iran

Russia’s Foreign Ministry has advised citizens to temporarily avoid travelling to Iran amid the risk of renewed escalation in the region.

Axar.az reports, citing Russian media, that Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova also urged Russians already in Iran to remain vigilant, avoid crowds and stay away from military and government facilities.

"We recommend, as before, temporarily refraining from travelling to this country until the situation is resolved. We also ask our compatriots who are already in Iran to remain vigilant and avoid crowds, mass events and areas near military and government facilities,” Zakharova said.

She warned against photographing or filming critical infrastructure, including transport, energy and military facilities.
