On May 13, the six-month employment contract of Lieutenant General Rustam Muradov, the head of the Russian peacekeeping force in Karabakh, expires.

Axar.az reports this information was spread by the Jokhovurd newspaper. The newspaper said that another Russian serviceman could be appointed in his place in the near future.

Jokhovurd reminded that earlier it was not planned to bring Muradov to lead the peacekeepers, but there were other Russian candidates. But suddenly, the General Staff advised Muradov to lead Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu, who in turn advised Vladimir Putin.
