An agreement was reached in principle on the inclusion of Iran in the Russia-Turkiye-Syria tripartite format.

Axar.az reports that Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said these words in his statement to journalists.

"We support the efforts of the President of Turkiye (Recep Tayyip Erdogan) to normalize relations with the Syrian leader, and we will be ready to develop related processes. Of course, an agreement was reached in principle on the issue of Iran's involvement in this matter," he said.
