Latvian Sejm (Parliament) has elected the current Minister of Foreign Affairs Edgars Rinkevics as the country's president.

Axar.az reports that the Sejm of Latvia published information about this on its official website.

"The Sejm of Latvia elected Edgars Rinkevics as the president. In the third round of the elections, 52 MPs supported Rinkevich's candidacy, while 35 MPs were against it.
