If I were Russian President Vladimir Putin, I would refrain from visiting Turkiye to meet with Turkish leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

Axar.az reports that Igor Girkin, the former "Minister of Defense" of the so-called "DPR" said this.

"If I were Vladimir Vladimirovich, I would not risk accepting Erdogan's offer to meet him in Turkiye," Girkin stressed.

He said that there is a possibility that Putin will be sent from Turkiye to The Hague.

It should be noted that on March 17, 2023, the International Criminal Court, located in The Hague, issued a warrant for the arrest of Russian President Vladimir Putin and Maria Alekseyevna Lvova-Belova, an authorized person for children's rights under the Russian President.

Turkiye has not signed or ratified the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court. In this regard, Igor Girkin's "concern" is in vain.
