The terrorist attack in "Crocus City Hall" shocked even experienced rescuers.

Axar.az reports that the journalists interviewed the rescuers who put out the fire and took the victims out of the building bravely risking their lives.

Sergei Kudra, the head of emergency rescue unit No. 9 of the Moscow Fire Protection and Rescue Center, spoke about the tasks performed by his unit at the scene of the terrorist attack. They installed lighting on the fourth floor of the building for exploration and rescue operations. In addition, the rescuers evacuated the dead bodies. This process was carried out by five people for about four hours.

According to Sergei Kudra, the situation they encountered when entering the building was terrible. When the rescuers were inspecting the building, they discovered the lifeless bodies of the victims in the hallway. All of them were suffocated by smoke.

"People lay down and hugged each other, apparently saying goodbye to each other in the last minutes of their lives," he said.

Sergey Kudra admitted that his colleagues were ready to "tear" the terrorists with their bare hands after everything they had seen. Experienced rescuers could not hold back their tears:

“Who were these scoundrels fighting? Why were these people killed? This horror will remain in my soul for a long time. Many of us have been working for a long time, for example, I have been in the profession for 21 years, I have seen different situations, and I have many terrible events behind me. But what happened in "Crocus" overshadows everything. It cannot be forgotten or forgiven."
