Since the beginning of 2024, the Russian army has captured about 100 square kilometres of territory in Ukraine.

Axar.az reports that the US Institute for the Study of War has released information about this.

"In the attack that started in October 2023, the Russians have already occupied 505 square kilometres of the territory of Ukraine. The lack of weapons limits the ability of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to conduct effective defensive operations. It also gives the invaders flexibility in conducting offensive operations. Sufficient and regular assistance and resolution of mobilization issues in Ukraine will narrow these opportunities for the Russian invaders, and at the same time ensure the ability of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to stop Russia with small tactical gains.
