In recent days, the main reason for the increase in the price of the dollar in Iran is Israel's latest attack.

Axar.az reports that this was said by the member of the parliament's Industry and Mining Commission, Mohammad Huseyn Farhangi.

"The biggest reason for the increase in the rate is the anxiety and tension after the latest Israeli attack. "Israel's attempt to increase the level of tension and expand the conflict has created psychological effects in various markets," he claimed.

It should be noted that the Iranian currency, which has been depreciating for several years, began to lose value faster after the attack of Hamas on Israel on October 7, 2023. Currently, one dollar is sold for 64,000 tumans in Tehran's free market.
