The theme of the meetings between Ararat Mirzoyan and Armen Grigoryan with the French military leadership revolves around the project to establish a military base on Armenian territory.

Axar.az reports that this claim has been made by the "Enabludatel" Telegram channel.

It is reported that the controversial deal regarding the purchase of "Caesar" howitzers is merely a cover for the appearance of French troops in Armenia. This is because a military personnel could be sent to Armenia under the pretext of maintenance for these weapons.

The channel also claims that the sensational agreement signed between the KNDS group and Armenia for the delivery of "Caesar" artillery systems will not be fulfilled in 2-3 years. This is because last year, the manufacturer, with a turnover of 3.3 billion euros, was unable to meet orders worth approximately 16 billion euros. Additionally, in 2024, another 7.8 billion euros worth of orders have been received.
