After announcing the preliminary results of the first round of the parliamentary elections, French President Emmanuel Macron called for "democratic unity" against Jordan Bardella and Marine Le Pen's National Union in the second round.
Axar.az reports that the "France-Presse" agency reported on this.
"The high turnout in the first round indicates the importance of this vote for all our compatriots and the desire to clarify the political situation. The time has come for a broad, clearly democratic and republican union to speak before the National Union in the second round."
It should be noted that in the first round of the extraordinary elections to the National Assembly (the lower house of the parliament) held today, the "Together for the Republic" presidential coalition, according to preliminary information, took the 3rd place. The National Union and the New People's Front were ranked first and second.
