I do not consider holding a referendum to join the European Union appropriate at the moment, but the people of Armenia have a desire for Europe.
Axar.az reports that Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said this in his speech at the meeting of the "Armenian Democratic Forum" attended by the ambassadors of the European Union and the United States, as well as representatives of international and public organizations.
"If there is a referendum, we should campaign. In such a case, people will ask us: How, when, does the European Union want or not? People will ask if the European Union is ready to accept us. I can't answer this question, because processes are going on within the EU, which at least raises questions about the results of the election," Pashinyan said.
