"In full accordance with the existing legislation, the Prosecutor General of Russia Igor Krasnov appealed to the Federation Council with a proposal to revoke the immunity of Senator Dmitri Vladimirovich Saveliev due to the determination of his participation in the organization of the murder," the information stated.

The Federation Council revoked the immunity of Dmitri Saveliev.

According to the information, prosecutor's office employees detained Dmitri Saveliev when he was leaving the meeting of the Federation Council.

Andrey Ivanov, an official of the Prosecutor General's Office of Russia, confirmed the information.
