Russian grain heads to Armenia via Azerbaijan

Today, a freight train carrying five wagons of Russian grain bound for Armenia departed from Bilajari Railway Station of Azerbaijan Railways, passing through Azerbaijani territory.

Axar.az informs that the total weight of the grain is 349 tons.

The train will later pass through the Boyuk Kesik Railway Station into Georgia and then continue toward Armenia.

So far, 23,500 tons of grain, over 1,000 tons of fertilizer, and 68 tons of buckwheat have been transported from Russia to Armenia via transit through Azerbaijan.

It should be noted that the last shipment through Azerbaijani territory to Armenia, consisting of 350 tons of Russian wheat, was sent on March 25.
