Former US President Donald Trump plans to sue the Department of Justice over the Mar-a-Lago raid.
Axar.az reports that he will demand $100 million in compensation from the government for the raid on his Mar-a-Lago residence in Florida in 2022. His lawyers claim that this step is a clear political pursuit.
Note that on August 8, 2022, the Federal Bureau of Investigation raided Mar-a-Lago and took documents from the residence. After the raid, Donald Trump was charged with 37 felonies, including willful withholding of national defense information, obstruction of justice, and perjury. However, Trump pleaded not guilty to any charges.
