Turkiye and Azerbaijan key to Europe’s energy security

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has addressed the participants of the “Baku Energy Week.”

President Erdogan emphasized that Turkiye and Azerbaijan play a strategic role in Europe's energy security, stating: "The relationship between Turkiye and Azerbaijan remains strong and steadfast across all areas, including the energy sector."

President Erdogan highlighted the many achievements of Turkiye and Azerbaijan in the energy sector, saying:

“Recent global geopolitical developments have once again underlined the importance of Turkiye-Azerbaijan cooperation in terms of energy security. Infrastructure investments such as the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan and Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum pipelines continue to make significant contributions not only to Turkiye and Azerbaijan, but also to the energy security of the region and Europe.”

The Turkish leader described the Igdır-Nakhchivan pipeline as the latest example of energy cooperation.
