The likelihood that a pilot error caused the crash of the Ukrainian F-16 fighter jet is low.

Axar.az reports that an unnamed representative of the Ukrainian military told CNN.

"The Ukrainian Armed Forces do not believe that the incident was due to a pilot error," the source told the TV channel.

He did not disclose other details of the tragedy but added that the incident is under investigation, and international experts will be invited to participate in the investigation.

It has been revealed that the pilot of the plane was Oleksiy Mes, who was buried yesterday.

CNN noted that the pilot's death is a significant blow to Ukraine, as Mes was one of the few Ukrainian pilots trained to fly the F-16.

Recall that one of the F-16s provided to Ukraine crashed yesterday. No official statement has been made about the cause of the crash.
