Armenia is interested in purchasing additional ATAGS 155mm artillery systems from India.

Axar.az reports that this was stated by the Director General of the Institute for Defence Studies and Analyses of India, Sujan Chinoy.

"ATAGS are highly maneuverable systems produced in India and have been very successful. The Armenian side has purchased half of these systems and is satisfied with them," Chinoy said.

The Director General recalled that India has already supplied $40 million worth of "Swathi" radar systems to Yerevan and noted that Armenia has expressed interest in "Pinaka" multi-barrel rocket launch systems, valued at approximately $250 million.

It should be noted that in 2022, there was news that Armenia had ordered $155 million worth of ATAGS artillery systems from India. The first batch (6 units) was delivered to Armenia last August.
